THE PIECE:  This pine root taxidermy pedestal sets on a blue pine base. The bottom base is completely sanded to a  steal wool finish. The top bases is leveled and sanded to a steel wool finish to make for easy mounting. The pine root is pressure washed and oiled. This piece would make a great turkey or deer pedestal.

THE WOOD: For our Taxidermy Pedestals we 90% of the time use twisted juniper. We love working with the juniper due to how every piece is a one of a kind. The juniper has such a large diversity of shape and sizes that allows us to make all sorts of different types of taxidermy stands.  We will occasionally use burl pine for taxidermy stands as well.

THE PROCESS: - All completed pine products are pressure washed to remove the bark, sandblasted to clean out the crevices and hard to reach areas, power sanded to remove the aged and scratched surface, and completed with a coat or clear wood oil.
